• Grow in our submission to the authority God has placed over us. #
• Grow in Christian fellowship not just to eat. laugh and have fun but to also be accountable to each other. #
• Three levels of study and prayer; private, family and corporate. #
• We need to grow in discernment. We need to be constantly in the word of God. #
• None of us are where we need to be with the Lord. We need to keep growing. #
• We have a fear of rejection that we will be left alone. We are created as social beings. #
• Fear can stop us from even trying. #
• We have a fear of people seeing us for who we are instead of who we are supposed to be. #
• Two reasons for testing; to show us what we know but also to show us where we need work. #
• One of the reasons we get stuck in the elementary things is our fear. #
• How many of us get “stuck” in the rituals and ceremonies and don’t move to the deeper things of the faith. #
• Today’s teaching focus in the sermon is from Hebrews 5:12 - 6:3 about leaving the Elementary teachings. #
• When we are not growing spiritually we regress and get in a rut like being stuck in the mud. #

• The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts us of our sin and the need for the Son’s redemption so we may come to the Father. #
• There is one baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. #
• How can God send God? A triune God. #
• God said let US make man in OUR. image. We are created in the image of God - not angels. #
• At creation the whole Trinity was involved. #
• The Trinity is clearly shown in our scripture today. Luke 3:21-22 When Christ was baptized. #
• Father, Son and Holy Spirit are essential in our salvation. #
